With every purchase of a can, Glory Bomb invests five centimes in vital well construction projects. Our aim is to give as many people as possible access to the world's most valuable staple food - water.
Glory Bomb has enthusiastically found a wonderful partner in "Viva con Agua" to jointly support an important drinking water project in South Africa. It fills the co-founders Benji and Wally, who are South Africans themselves, with deep pride to support the WASH* project in schools in the Eastern Cape region. This commitment gives children and teachers access to safe and clean drinking water directly in their schools.

In rural South Africa, 19% of the population still live without or with limited access to drinking water. In terms of sanitation and hygiene, as many as 25% have no access to basic sanitation and 73% have no or limited access to hygiene. WASH stands for Water, Sanitation, Hygiene - the basic building blocks for a healthy life.
With the WINS project (WASH in Schools), we want to improve this appalling situation in the long term. In the Eastern Cape region, Viva con Agua is providing clean drinking water, modern toilets and creative hygiene workshops for over 20,000 schoolchildren and their teachers at 50 schools.
Viva con Agua South Africa coordinates and implements all project activities on site and ensures that the aid gets to where it is most urgently needed.
The renovation and construction of drinking water facilities, toilets and hand-washing stations, including hygiene workshops for an average of 400 schoolchildren at a school in South Africa, costs between CHF 8,000 and CHF 15,000.
Even smaller measures within the school projects can be financed with the following amounts:
CHF 200: Provision and installation of a hand-washing facility at a school
CHF 500: Provision and installation of a 5,000-liter water tank at a school
CHF 700: Renovation of a toilet block at a school
*WASH stands for "Water, Sanitation, Hygiene". This combination of access to clean drinking water, sanitary facilities and hygiene sensitization is the core of all Viva con Agua WASH projects and supports the long-term and sustainable success of the individual measures.
